General Rules and Regulations of

DUCKSTOCK

"The Party"

Your "Premier" Adult Party

April 24 - April 27 2008

duckstocktheparty@gmail.com

The rules below are the things that, if broken, will at the very least earn you a note beside your name.  And at the very worst, get you removed from the site by the police. So please read them VERY carefully!

Duckstock "The Party" 2008 is held at Dragon Hills, which is PRIVATE PROPERTY. Please respect any and all rules put forth by the owners.

You MUST show a picture ID when signing in at the gate.

Absolutely NO ONE under the age of 18 will be allowed.

If you are going to charge for services rendered then you will have to be a vendor and on the vendors list.

Please don't litter or pollute the site in any way, and do clean up after yourself, especially when you pack to go home.

DO NOT leave trash anywhere on site. We will have someone to come around and pick up your trash. If you are seen dropping off trash and leaving the site, you WILL NOT BE INVITED BACK! DO NOT drop cigarette butts or bottle caps on the ground.

ALL cars must be moved to the parking area after unloading. The only exceptions are a few merchants who have prior permission to park at their booths and are not planning on moving at all during Duckstock. All roadways are to be kept completely clear (think huge fire trucks coming through).

There are limited RV hookups. They are available first come and an additional fee.

The road from the Kitchen to the Stage must be kept clear at all times, and a road all the way through the Vendor area in front of the Stage, and following the tree line up the hill, must be kept open all weekend. By order of the fire marshal, all roadways must be kept completely clear all weekend, so that large emergency vehicles can drive through. The whole festival can be shut down if this rule is not followed!

If you must park your car temporarily somewhere, please pull well off to the side. Lock your valuables in your trunk; we cannot be responsible for losses. Due to safety concerns, no cars are allowed to drive through the merchant area and in front of the stage after 6:00 pm on Thursday evening without permission of the event coordinator. (James Middleton)

All golf carts and ATVs must be approved by event coordinator. (James Middleton)

The propane gas provided for the hot showers is not infinite; please be considerate with your usage and keep your showers SHORT. Hot water may be cut off at midnight. The kitchen is off-limits to participants.

Due to agreements with the neighbors and sheriff, all drumming must be restricted to the main drum circle, as sound tends to carry; no drumming past 10:00 on Thursday night. Please be considerate with boom boxes, especially at night.

Dogs are not allowed at Dragon Hills, unless they are helper dogs and you have written permission from the event coordinator (James Middleton) IF YOU ARE GIVEN PERMISSION TO BRING A DOG, please note the following rules: Keep your dog on a leash and under control at all times, especially around  merchants. Also, excessive barking is strongly frowned upon! Be responsible, so that you and your dog will be invited to return.

Do NOT leave camp fires unattended. Bring your own firewood. Please move all rocks used to make a fire circle, so that the mowers don't run over them later in the tall grass, damaging the blades ($400) to replace, and possibly injuring or even killing the person on the mower.

Duckstock "The Party" is a private function, and is off-limits to media personnel acting in a professional capacity.

Duckstock "The Party" is clothing optional. Yes this means there might (and probably will) be naked "ducks" running around!!

No one is required to attend our ceremonies or classes, but please respect the rights of those who choose to do so; try to keep your noise, music and conversation to a minimum during these times if you are close by.

Firearms are not allowed at Dragon Hills during the festival.

Of course, any infraction of mundane law, i.e., theft, threat to or endangerment of others, etc., are grounds for immediate expulsion from the festival, and possible arrest, if appropriate.

Underage drinking, gross drunken behavior, and unwanted sexual attention (harassment) WILL NOT BE TOLERATED!!

Also, illegal substances are absolutely forbidden, by any and all people!! This is very important if you can't abstain for the weekend, please stay home. We run the risk of losing the site and our freedoms otherwise. Don't use drugs at the festival; don't even bring them.
